DJ KHALED,MARY J, FABULOUS and JADAKISS bring the party back!!! HOTNESS...FREE DOWNLOAD In a time where I'm left to drawback to the 90's and early 2000's to hear good mainstream music, this is indeed a treat. DJ Khaled takes the feel of an old school party sample "PSK" by Schooly D (also sample my Mary J on the What's the 411 intro)and enhances it with a 2011 touch. To add flyness to the joint he brings on Mary J, Fabulous and Jadakiss to lace the joint!! Job Well Done...CLICK IMAGE TO DOWNLOAD

The Artifacts hip hop group resurfaces

After almost fifteen years, the 90's hip hip group The Artifacts returns. The Artifacts includes members ElEl Da Sensei, Tame One & DJ Kaos. They gained popular later when they released their debut single,"Wrond Side Of The Tracks" in 1994.
The resurface with what I would consider to be a banger titled, Turn It Up, produced by King I Devine. This is great news people! CLICK IMAGE FOR YOUR FREE DOWNLOAD

This is my joint! Definately a Summer Theme..Frank Ocean has released the music video for his hit single which seems to be creeping into popularity "Novacane". Dig on this one!

When I first heard this news I was elated!! Two of my favorites who I feel exemplify what true hip hop is all about! This is exactly what hip hop has been missing in recent years. The Boot Camp affiliates Tek and Steele known as Smif-N-Wesson lace illustrating the art of MCing over the illustrious sound of Pete Rock. Do expect the Boom-Bap on this one! The project is slated to release June 28th...Go Out and Get it!!

On May 27, we lost one of the greatest revolutionary poets and musician of our time. Gil Scott Heron was known for using his craft to influence social and political thought. He has influenced the hip hop culture and definately opened the eyes of Black America to the reality of the world. His legend will live forever.
Take a listen and download (below the clip) Miles Bonny's Tribute to Gil

New Mixtape from French Soul Artist::AGYEI

I found great delight in giving this mixtape a listen. AGEYI brings you Soul from France. I had to brush up on my French to fully enjoy it! But don't let the fact that the lyrics are in French limit your experience. He brings forth quality in his presentation. You will even here freestyles over classic instumental tracks like Badu's Bag Lady and Common's Come Close. Definately worth a listen and even a download.

New Video::Marsha Ambrosius - Late Nights & Early Mornings

WORLD PREMIERE-Ledisi - Pieces Of Me

Pharoahe Monch Ft. Styles P And Phonte - Black Hand Side

Director Terrence Nance brings the empowering words of Pharoahe, Styles P and Phonte to life with the video for "Black Hand Side." The visual's masterfully put together and goes a long way to remind us all that when the the two mediums snap together like puzzle pieces, the effect of the overall project is amplified. This song and "Assassins" easily rank as my two favorite tracks from W.A.R. (We Are Renegades) although I'm not sure I've truly given the entire project a fair shake. All of which leads me to believe that I need to revisit the album, given my fondness for Pharoahe's previous works.

Natalie"The Floacist"Stewart, formerly of the Floetry, offered to the world something beautiful that invokes passion, empowerment, human insight and meditation with her release of Floetic Soul.

Lauryn Hill has been making waves this year. In spite of the negative comments she's received about her late arrivals to shows, fans have remained loyal and in full support of her attempt to reclaim her throne! It appears she's been taking her time and using these tour dates as a means to build up her stamina for what's to come...I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for somethin big that will help restore the empty void music has been experiencing. I also wonder if these bizarre outfits and hats are but a mask that covers something beautiful that she will soon unveil. Hell, If she came out in a Tshirt and jeans I could definately deal with that just fine. Would love to see her in her natural beauty without all the extra hoopla; that's my word! In May, she graced the stage on the Jimmy Fallon Show in tribute to Bob Marley...DIG THIS!!!
