Since the beginning of the year B.Jamelle has been making waves on the indie music scene. Her soulful and seductive style is one that is definitive in its own right. Between her melodic and mystic vocal delivery and the syncopated-hypnotic tracks, B.Jamelle creates a sound that is distinct and very gravitating to the ear. Already she has released songs like "Blow"- a song featured on the recently released R.E.D.SOUL MUSIC SAMPLER, "Vice", "Marsy Muse", "MindF&#!" and "Upside Round".
Just recently she teamed up with two of my favorite producers Slimkat78 and Dre King to bring forth "Cry No More", the first single from her upcoming EP titled "Memoirs From The Thick Of It"-a story about love at first sight. You can preview and purchase this single below and visit www.bjamelle.bandcamp.com to hear other gems by this artist. #PROPS

Every since I first got wind of this young lady's talent back in 2010, I've been waiting to hear a release from her. A native South Carolinian, Howard University graduate,New York based songstress, has astounding vocals and dynamic stage presentation. Very happy to see the same energy is captured in her studio recordings. She has released a single titled "Material Star" in celebration of Juneteenth. A laid back summer groove indeed!! Keep your eye out for more to surface from this artist. Visit www.collettemusic.com

Oddisee says,"This album is about influence, inspiration, perception & reality. Every song was written in an outside environment, so that I could observe the subjects that would become my subject matter. All too often in Hip Hop, reality is limited to that of the artists own, actual experiences. People Hear What They See is my attempt to liberate the MC from those constraints & allow reality to be penned other than my own. Listening to congressmen & lawyers converse on the steps of the supreme court inspired ‘American Greed’, Watching a couple argue over the phone in a bar inspired ‘Maybes’. By having a visual representation of my subject matter, my hopes are that the listener will see them through the worlds & melodies of my songs." This is definitely a great time for hip hop music right now! Shout Out to Mello Music Group!! This album, in my opinion, can already be stamped CLASSIC
Another dope release from the Mello Music Group!!! Two of the illest in my book have combined their talents once again to bring forth a dopeass remix. After commanding attention on Diamond District’s In The Ruff and his own Before Taxes project, last year’s The Earn continued cementing yU the 78er as a substantive and skilled lyricist with something to say. Recently, his DMV brethren Oddissee remixed “I Believe”, one of the standout cuts from The Earn. Mello Music Group is proud to share the results with you. Though the original took a more soulful route, Oddissee version is straight up and down unadulterated hip-hop. He blesses the track with a new chorus, reinforcing the song’s motif on belief and playing the mello sidekick to yU’s live verses. The drum-and-horn combination is an homage to the foundation—producers like Large Professor, DJ Premiere and Diamond D—that classic sound that bubbled from the Eastern seaboard decades ago. yU sounds right at home, too. The grit in his delivery seems to come through so clear, almost as if the listener is on a nameless block in D.C. and yU is inches away from your face, spittin’ about how “the passion dictates the pace,” and showing it.
